This portal was invented by Foaly. It allows someone outside the time stop field to enter, without hindering the flow of the stop. This portal was used in the first book, to allow the dwarf Mulch Diggums to enter the time stop. Even though it took him six hours to get to the field, it was merely moments after commander Julius Root summoned him.
