The Major (Real Name Unknown) was the member of the Butler family. He was the uncle to Domovoi Butler and Juliet Butler and was responsible for the guarding of Artemis Fowl I. The Major was killed when he and Artemis Senior were captured on Artemis Senior's ship, the Fowl Star, in the Kola Peninsula, Russia.
