The microwafer is a piece of technology used in the Section 8 'Shimmer Suit'. It was developed and patented by Foaly.

The microwafer is connected to the Shimmer suit's computer, which controls it. This allows the wafers to vibrate in time with the user of the suit if they are shielding leaving no trace at all, not even the slight haze effect customary of the shield.
